Alpinia originates from Eastern Asia, a member of the ginger family this beautiful exotic plant would be perfect for adding a touch of the tropics to your home. Large paddle shaped leaves with streaks of bright yellow, a mature plant may also produce soft pink flowers.

How to care for your Alpinia -

Water:  Keep soil moist during growing season, reduce watering in Winter. 

Light: They enjoy bright but indirect sunlight, direct sun can scorch the leaves.

Humidity: As a tropical plant they love humidity, perfect for a bathroom. They like to be misted or placed on a pebble tray. 

Temperature: They appreciate warmth, do not expose to drafts.
